Betty Jo Massengale Headrick, 81, a native of Chattanooga, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 7, 2023 unexpectedly after a brief illness.

Betty was a devoted Christian woman, always praying for others and caring for other family members and friends throughout her life.  She loved her family dearly and will be missed by all.  Her hobbies were sewing, quilting, embroidery and crocheting.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Lou Massengale; husband, Olin E. Headrick, Sr.; son, Jammie Q. Headrick; grandson, Jammie L. Headrick.

Survivors include her children, Darlene (Joe) Hickman, Olin "Pete" (Liz) Headrick, Betsy Headrick (Scott) Pinckard, and Joyceann "Tracy" (Scott) Homberg; nine grandchildren, Derick S. Headrick, Andy (Malinda) Hickman, Christopher "Scott" Homberg, Maranda Hickman, Tosha Kate Homberg, Carrie Jo (Eric) Savage, Jill (Robert) Lowery, Leslie (Nate) Xanders and T. Nicole (Nicholas) Strother;  many great grandchildren with more on the way and brother, Jimmy Massengale.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Daniel Beard officiating.

Ms. Headrick will be laid to rest in the Baxter family cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the funeral service in the chapel.
