Betty Jean Brown, 87, of Chattanooga passed away in a local healthcare facility on Thursday, March 11, 2021.

A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Mildred Smith. Betty graduated from City High School in 1951.  She worked in the healthcare industry for many years before retiring from National Medical Equipment in 1998.  She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, Betty was also preceded in death by her husband Charlie and daughter, Trudy Brown.

Survivors include her children, Teri Brown and Chuck Brown, cousin, Ann Stone lifelong best friends, Sue Hawk and Pat Short; other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at 5:30 P.M. Thursday, March 18, 2021 in the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Joshua Felton officiating.

The family will gather with friends prior to the service at 4:30 P.M.
