Andrew Corey
Levan
d. Apr 12, 2020
Andrew Corey Levan, age 30, left this Earth Sunday, April 12, 2020 to start his greatest adventure yet in heaven. He was born on March 9, 1990 in Chattanooga, TN. Andrew attended Chattanooga State as well as the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Andrew was a beloved son and brother, and a devoted friend to all, whether you were a lifelong pal or a newly acquainted stranger. His friends called him Tree and much like the majestic sequoia, his physical presence was striking. Andrew lived his life in Big ways. He came into this world a Big 11lbs and 2oz. He lived life to the fullest, had endless energy and made every moment count. Andrew was our daredevil; he was fearless and loved Big adventures. Andrew loved the outdoors from day one, he grew up riding dirt bikes, mountain bikes, four-wheelers and even lawn mowers on the trails of Chattanooga; if it had wheels, it had the potential for fun. He was always up for water activities even if it was in the middle of winter. He enjoyed working on antique cars; especially the red, 1932 Ford 3 window coupe street rod that he built with his dad. Andrew was passionate about music, he loved traveling the country to see Bassnecter and could always be spotted in the crowd at the local jam band shows. His spirit was tender, witty, and kind and his heart was as Big as he was tall. He loved in Big ways and he was loyal; you never had to wonder if he had your back.
He is survived by his fiancé and love of his life, Abby Winkles; parents Chris Levan and Jan Cloud; siblings, Chris Levan II, Laura Levan and Katie Levan as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Because of the limited number allowed to attend services, the family will be having a private service on Tuesday, April 21. A celebration of life will be held later once we're able to bring everyone together. When that time comes, friends will be encouraged to share pictures and memories.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to McKamey Animal Center.
Arrangements are by Hamilton Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 4506 Hixson Pike, Hixson. (423) 531-3975.
