Alvin Davis, 89, of Hixson, passed away Monday, February 1, 2021 at his home with his loving family by his side.

After serving in the United States Army, he went to work for Combustion where he eventually retired.

Alvin loved softball, baseball and music. He spent a lot of his time at Hardees where he enjoyed fellowship with special friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Davis; parents, George Thomas Davis and Annie Pearl Arp Davis; brothers, Benjamin, Bill, Eugene (Shorty) and Vurlin Davis; sister, Lucille Bledsoe.

He is survived by his children, Lynn Emery (Terri) and Gary "Biscuit" Davis (Jenny); granddaughter, Christi Cooper (Keith); grandson, Connor Davis; great grandson, Harrison Cooper; sister-in-law, Sue Tate and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Pastor Chuck Nation officiating.

There will be no public visitation held due to Covid-19.

Family request for face mask to be worn.
