Aleta Lee Kinsey, age 65, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.  She was born October 9, 1955 in Chattanooga.  Aleta was a 1973 graduate of Chattanooga City High School. Aleta married her high school sweetheart, Bennie Kinsey, Jr. (Butch) on March 9, 1974.  Before retiring, Aleta worked in the medical field as a registered medical assistant, also served in the office of college counseling at Baylor School and most recently worked at Skyuka Hall as the business manager/principal.  Aleta dedicated her life to her adored family. She was a wonderful mother to her two talented sons.  Aleta was especially proud of and enjoyed her role as LeLe to her six remarkable grandchildren. She took pleasure in gardening and spending time with family and friends.  Aleta lived her life to the fullest and never shied away from travel and adventure.  She had a gift of easily connecting with other people due to her uncanny ability to conversate.  Aleta will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.

Aleta is survived by her loving mother, Barbara Thomas; special sister, Barbara McDowell (Tommy); beloved husband, Bennie Kinsey, Jr.; cherished sons, Mark Kinsey (Tracie) and Paul Kinsey (Jessie); handsome grandsons, Michael, Henry, Garrett and Hayden Kinsey; beautiful granddaughters, Anna and Ruby Kinsey; dear nephews, Chris Braxton (Emily) and Matt Braxton (Ellie); many wonderful cousins; and several great nephews and nieces.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 28, 2021 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday, May 28 ^th at 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. prior to the funeral service.
